Many couples think that they will be able to rely on a cell phone camera to take their prom pictures.  My recommendation would be that you do not take pictures of yourself in your prom dress and your escort with this type of camera, simply because a cell phone camera generally does not produce a very high quality photograph — it will look too grainy and coarse, and unless you are taking such a picture in very bright lighting you will almost certainly be disappointed with the quality of it. I know that a cell phone camera is very convenient and lightweight and easy to take with you — but you can almost certainly find a good-quality digital camera that is just as easy to take around — and you'll be much more pleased with the results.
