Something that totally took me by surprise when I gained a heap of weight was that my shoe size literally exploded. When thinking of plus size you forget that your feet put on weight as well and you have to buy mens plus sizes shoes along with other  plus size apparel. Don't just thinbk shoe size when looking for a new pair of shoes but look for shoes that are wider then the normal varieties as well.
