Few things have as much economic importance in the world as seeds. The second most traded commodity in the world for example, is one kind of seed- coffee beans. Now imagine the economic importance of the entirety of all the agricultural products ever made. Chances are, these products will either require seeds to grow, or the seeds themselves are things of direct economic importance. Much of the animal-derived food we eat, except for the most part if it comes from the sea, are likely dependent on seeds and seed products for their production.
